About my journey
Navigating menopause takes strength, faith, and a whole lot of grace. I thought I was ready — I worked out daily, ate clean, took my vitamins, and prayed over my peace. But when menopause hit, it felt like my body changed overnight. Hot flashes, anxiety, brain fog, and stubborn weight gain became my new normal, and suddenly I didn’t recognize myself.
Since 45, I’ve been walking through this journey — now at 53, I’ve learned that thriving through menopause means doing life differently. I had to research, advocate for myself, and create a plan that honored who I am now. Through self-advocacy, nutrition, exercise, and mental wellness, I discovered a new way to live and feel good in this season. That’s why I wrote Mastering Menopause — to help women stop suffering in silence and start building a stronger, wiser foundation for the next chapter.
